Haunted HaflAdira  - October 24, 2009

Shiva, Fara'Asha and Aniq of Indigenous performed a spooky Gothic Set at the fifth in a summer series of traditional belly dance haflas (parties) hosted by Adira Dance & Costume along with a spooktacular line-up of other dancers: Adira, Raks Hakohaveem, House of Inanna, Lisa and Sarah, Duet Patti, Lupinara (formerly Mo'Menein), to name a few.  The Hafla was open to the general public and the performances took place on the parking lot in front of the store in Willow Glen, California.  Adira's husband Duane of DRS Photography was on hand to photograph the event:

Thanks, Duane, for the following photos of Indigenous' performance:

ALSO:  After the Hafla  Grave Mistake made an appearance for this year's San Jose Thrill The World event, an annual worldwide simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson's “Thriller.” This is the largest distributed simultaneous zombie event in the world and was performed this year at Adira Dance and Costume.

A very special thanks to Kevin and Stan at Willow Glen In Motion for a video project well done.

If you would like to participate in next year's event, or find out more about Grave Mistake and the 2010 Thrill The World event, check out the details at  www.westsanjose.org.
