Private Party:  Mediterranean Feast -  May 16, 2008

For the second year in a row, Bahira, Shiva and Fara'Asha of Indigenous were pleased to perform for a private party as part of an Auctioned Dinner/Entertainment Package to raise money for Washington Open Elementary school.  Two families and their guests were the recipients of the gourmet dinner for eight catered in their home.  Parent volunteers from the student body provided fantasy patio and table decorations, top notch service and an incredible array of scrumptious Mediterranean dishes as well as post party clean-up for the lucky winners.

Candlelight and gauzy material transformed the patio into a relaxing dining tent.

Also included in the auctioned package was dancing entertainment provided by Indigenous performing a 20 minute set of dances that included sword, veil and fan.

The Resident Host had this to say about the evening:  "...We had a blast watching the very-talented belly dancers, and then enjoyed laughing at ourselves as we tried to join in the dance. .. "

Here are a few photos of the performance.

We can't wait to perform for the next lucky recipients of the Washington Open auctioned Mediterranean Dinner!
